Communication is fundamental to human dignity and happiness. When children struggle to express their wants, needs, and thoughts, frustration often appears as challenging behavior. Our verbal behavior program gives every child their voice.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

What is Verbal Support?

Our Verbal Behavior (VB) approach evaluates the functional purpose of communication. Using positive reinforcement, we teach functional requesting (Manding), labeling objects (Tacting), answering questions (Intraverbals), and listening comprehension. For non-speaking children, we seamlessly integrate Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), PECS, and speech-generating devices.

Providing a child with a reliable way to communicate their needs leads to an immediate, dramatic drop in daily behavioral frustration.

Who Is This Service For?

Non-verbal, pre-verbal, or minimally speaking children, as well as children with speech apraxia, echolalia, or difficulty using speech functionally.

Age Groups: Toddlers, Children & Youth
